This record group contains materials relating to summer camps and other programs created and managed by the Ethical Culture Fieldston Schools. Notably, this includes the Ethical Culture School Camp in Cooperstown, New York, in existence from the 1920s to the 1970s. Records for day camps held on school grounds are also included, along with records for summer programs designed to assist public school students with high school or college preparation. Common types of materials include ephemera, correspondence, reports, and news clippings. Additional information on extracurricular activities and after-school programs can be found in Record Groups 3, 4 and 5. Items relating to the Summer Play School (founded 1919) can be found in Record Group 2.
