In the interview, Collado discusses her family; close relationship with her cousin, Adam Collado; relatives' experiences with drug trafficking and addiction in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn; maternal grandfather's racial prejudices; and impressions of gentrification in Brooklyn, particularly in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. Biographical note

Amy Collado was born to a Dominican American mother in New York City and raised in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. She worked on Open City Mixtape, a collection of narrative and documentary films about New York City.
