Scope and Contents

In the interviews, Bolles discusses his family; parents' courtship and marriage; maternal grandfather's involvement in the Nicaraguan military; paternal grandparents' interfaith marriage; educational experiences; involvement in the music community; and an experience of arrest with false accusations of terrorism. Biographical note

Vilray Bolles was born to a Nicaraguan American mother and a white American father and raised in New York City. Bolles attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He worked as a musician and also for Edison Price Lighting, a lighting fixture company in Queens, New York.
