Scope and Contents
Series IV. Written Works includes both published and unpublished written works by Diane Torr, as well as research files that she maintained on a variety of topics. A bulk of the series is comprised of Torr's journals, maintained from 1973-2016. Torr published the book Sex, Drag, and Male Roles: Investigating Gender as Performance in 2010. She also contributed to several anthologies and works by other authors, including Dick for a Day, edited by Fiona Giles (1997); Sex Tips: Advice from Women Experts Around the World by Jo-Anne Baker (1999); and Aroused: A Collection of Erotic Writing, edited by Karen Finley (2001). Torr also wrote shorter pieces on a variety of personal and professional topics, such as dance, performance, birth, death, eroticism, aging, and gender. This series also includes correspondence with literary publishers, and with authors during the writing of Female Masculinity by Jack Halberstam (1998) and Memories of the Revolution: The First Ten Years of the WOW Cafe Theater by Holly Hughes et al (2015).
