Scope and Contents
Subseries II.A Drag Workshops contains materials related to Diane Torr's "Man for a Day" workshops, as well as other workshops and lectures on the topics of drag and cross-dressing. Torr toured "Man for a Day" workshops internationally on college campuses, on performance stages, and in festival lineups starting in 1992, often alongside the performance "Drag Kings and Subjects." Materials referencing workshops may also be found in the "Drag Kings and Subjects" files in Series I. Records in this subseries include ephemera, planning correspondence, press clippings, press releases, workshop notes and descriptions, video recordings of workshops, testimonials, surveys, sign-in books, and photographs.

Scope and Contents
Subseries II.B Courses and Seminars contains materials related to Diane Torr's teaching career. In addition to "Man for a Day" workshops, Torr taught university courses, seminars, lectures, and workshops on dance, performance art, martial arts, and gender studies. In particular, she studied and taught the Release Technique and Contact Improvisation dance methods. She also taught performance art to school children. Materials in this series include correspondence, job applications, syllabi, course reading materials, notes, flyers, calendars and programs, and video recordings.
