Scope and Contents
Series VII. Personal Files contains a wide variety of materials related to Torr's personal life, including planners, address books, contact lists, correspondence, and curricula vitae and biographical statements. Materials related to Torr's education include records from her high school education; her dance educaton at Dartington College of Arts; and other trainings and certifications such as shorthand, counseling and psychotherapy, aikido, and shiatsu. This series also includes performance and exhibition ephemera produced by other artists and contemporaries, collected by Torr as she worked and traveled; books with inscriptions, given to Torr as gifts from authors and artists that she was in community with; notes related to Torr's personal studies, such as learning languages, shiatsu, acting, anatomy, yoga, and acupuncture; audiovisual recordings depicting Torr's travels; fiiles and mockup designs for her website; and photographs and recordings used as reference for Torr's teaching and performance work.
