Scope and Contents Note

Contains Five-Year Plans sent to a small group of corporate officers. Includes an overview and outlines of the strategic plans and plans for Books and Arts Associates, Fortune, Printing Developments Division, Real Estate Division, Selling Areas Marketing Plan (SAMI), Sports Illustrated, Time, Time-Life Films, Time-Life Records (music albums), and Time-life Video. Two copies originally belonged to Louis Banks, who was either Fortune's managing editor or the overall editorial director in 1971. It is not clear who ultimately collected and retained these plans.
