Series 10: Conferences and Studies on Homelessness and Homelessness Issues, 1929-1934

Scope and Contents note

This series includes reports and notes taken from meetings on the social problems of unemployment, crime, and homelessness. The Employment Agencies Survey is a 30 page report detailing how spurious employment agencies in New York City take money from unemployed men with the promise of a job. Both the minutes from the 1932 Welfare Council Meeting and the Program from a 1934 Conference on Crime include handwritten notes on the issues discussed.
