This series contains some of the files kept by Edward G. Leffingwell and others during the planning of MoMA PS1's 1997-1998 exhibit, Jack Smith: Flaming Creature. The files contain photocopies of Smith's letters, scripts, photographs, and notes used in the exhibit, and notes and sketches from exhibit planning. This series also includes notes on essays and copies of Smith's notes and artwork to be published in Wait For Me at the Bottom of the Pool: The Writings of Jack Smith, co-edited by Leffingwell and J. Hoberman.
