Scope and Content

This series contains Smith's bank and investment statements; a small amount correspondence with friends, as well as film and cultural organizations; correspondence, notes, and flyers regarding Smith's legal dealings with his landlords; ledgers, some of which detail Smith's income and expenses from the Film-makers' Cooperative for 1964-1965, for screenings of Flaming Creatures; grant applications in support of Sinbad in the Rented World; address books, mailing lists, and a Rolodex; and tax records for Smith's property in Apache County, Arizona. Materials date from 1962 to 1990, with the bulk dating between 1971-1985.
