Scope and Content Note

Most of the officers' correspondence has not been preserved. This series includes routine memoranda and publicity communications between the National Union, regional offices, and the Local; a very small amount of correspondence between Marshall M. Hicks, National Secretary-Treasurer, and different officers of the Local regarding financial transactions and creation of working papers; correspondence between members of the National, including Joseph A. Fisher, President, and Harold J. Straub, Vice President, and Oliver J. Harper, an attorney contracted to represent the National.
