Scope and Contents

This series contains legal briefs primarily relate to the cases NOW v. Pataki and NOW v. Cuomo in which the organization served as a third-party representative for plaintiffs aginst the New York State Human Rights Division. The plaintiffs claimed that the Human Rights Division violated their right to due process by delaying or failing to properly address legal complaints of workplace sexual harassment. Briefs include plaintiff declarations, memoranda, affirmations, testimony, and appeal petitions dated 1997-2001. The series also includes several other legal briefs from 1998 related to cases of workplace sexual discrimination.
