Scope and Contents note
The Weiss & Klau Co. moved into its home at 462-468 Broadway in 1911. This series contains legal and real estate documents relating to the purchase (and sale) of the building, lease agreements, repairs and construction work. This series also contains information relating to the partial collapse of the building in 1966. There are clippings from several New York City papers; correspondence with employees, attorneys, and actuaries; building violations; and materials relating to insurance and liability claims.
