Series I: John Trumbull Correspondence and Papers

This series contains the correspondence and papers of John Trumbull, dating from 1776-1842. These include correspondence received, drafts and/or copies of correspondence sent, accounts, inventories, receipts, opinions and notes. These include an account book regarding his time working as a commissioner on the Jay Treaty and a small volume of letters and accounts concerning his partnership with Daniel Parker for the purchase and sale of paintings, books, and some furniture. Some materials are loose and some are written in bound volumes.
