Scope and Contents Note
Membership records contain information about the individuals who have belonged to the Saint Andrew's Society of the State of New York.
Arrangement Note
The series consists of the following subseries: Registers, Member Applications, "Archived" Member Files spanning the period from the 1850s to the 2000s, and "Unarchived" Member Files, spanning the period from the 1850s to the 1980s. The archived and unarchived member files reflect the arrangement of the material at the time of accession. Archived files are foldered, and unarchived files are housed in original envelopes.
Conditions Governing Access
By agreement with the donor of the collection, member records are restricted from access for 35 years from the date of the record. Accordingly, as of 2022, all member records from 1987 and later are restricted from access.

Scope and Contents Note
The subseries contains historical lists of members compiled mostly during the early 20th century.
Arrangement Note
Bound volumes are arranged first, followed by foldered material. Within the bound volumes, manuscript material is first, followed by typescripts, and then printed matter. Apart from those considerations, items are ordered chronologically according to their date of creation.

Scope and Contents Note
Member Files contain application materials and correspondence related to an individual's involvement in the Society. All refer to inactive members. "Archived" Member Files reflect the filing system from about the 1990s to the time of accession. They therefore include the files of members active in the 1990s and 2000s. Additionally, many earlier member files, primarily although not exclusively those with last names beginning with 'A' through 'C', had been interfiled into this subseries. See also the following subseries Unarchived Member Files.
