This series contains syllabi, academic papers, correspondence, and quarterly student evaluations from Montano's time as a professor and guest lecturer at several different institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin, UCLA, and San Francisco Art Institute. A bulk of the material also contains Montano's student files, which contain resumes and a collection of theses that discuss, interpret and analyze Montano's work. Also represented in this series is the in-depth documentation of Montano's request for tenure at UT Austin. This material, which includes writing, correspondence, statements, and press, formed the narrative for Montano's performance piece "Tenure."
