Biographical note
Jared J. Chambers was born in Massachusetts, around 1854. A longtime resident of Brooklyn, he was actively involved in the community as a member of the Republican Party, and served as president of the 28th Ward Taxpayer's Protection Association for 38 years. He died, in Brooklyn, in 1942.
