Prints in the volume depict parks and monuments such as Prospect Park and Green-Wood Cemetery, clubs, churches, banks, schools, and municipal buildings in Brooklyn. The neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, Red Hook, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bay Ridge, Fort Hamilton, Brighton Beach, and Coney Island are included. In addition to street scenes and skyline views from the Brooklyn Bridge, the volume also contains waterfront views showing the New York Harbor, New York Naval Shipyard (also known as the Brooklyn Navy Yard), Gowanus Bay, beaches, docks, and basins.
