Large Roman numeral II scribbled onto front in blue/green crayon and crossed out with blue ink. Processing label from "Borough Hall Camera Shop" adhered to bottom of container. Reel flanges are tight/bent and prevent stock from easily unwinding. Imprinted into stock along edge. "PROCESSED BY KODAK MAY 58". "PROCESSED BY KODAK" printed on leader. Emulsion maintained bright, vivid colors. Kodak Safety film, 16 mm, color, 50' in length. Good condition. Dry and brittle leader. No scent to film.

Stock was slightly unwound to identify film content. detached stock is a length of title frames ("From Osh Kosh to Anywhere") spliced to stock featuring a woman's face, spliced to animates frames. Animation on detached stock matches stock in reel. Kodak Safety film, 16mm, 200' in length, B&W, sound, + Poor condition. Tight wind. Broken sprocket holes. Stock is warping and brittle in places.

Stock and emulsion is scratched. Film has a slight odor. Stock is bent with torn sprocket holes. No leader, no can.

Film stock in metal reel. 3" x ½" rectangular discoloration on reel near flange edge; written on discoloration in pencil. "Packer Coll Inst". First hundred frames of film stock feature students entering and exiting Packer Collegiate's main entrance and students in a swimming pool. Kodak Safety film, 16mm, 400' in length, B&W, silent. Edge. Poor condition. Uneven wind with loose film stock. Stock is torn, bent, warped, and has torn sprocket holes. No can.

Super 8 film that includes members of classes 1972-1975. Film was shot in April 1972. It is the mini-term project of a group who took a trip to Israel.

VHS tape. Anchorman Bill Butello of Channel 7 news speaks with Packer students. Good audio/video quality.

VHS tape. Japanese language expose on the state of public education following fiscal crisis in New York City. Quality of public education is contrasted with that of private schooling. Packer Institute is cited as an example – clips show classes in action. Good audio/video quality.

September 24, 1985. 3/4 inch tape.

May 07, 1987. RT. 12.00. VHS tape. Promotional video that makes a link between past and present at Packer. Interviews with current students and older graduates are illustrated with archival photo stills. Great audio/video quality.

April 02, 1988. Location. Packer Collegiate Institute. VHS tape. Consisting of unedited segments on student life at Packer. Shows children engaged in various classes, and footage of Packer architecture. Ends with clips of Brooklyn scenery. May be raw footage for another promotional video, or Japanese language "Broadcast NHK New York,". Folder 11. No identifying captions for speakers (includes administrators, faculty, and students). Great audio/video quality except for a brief period in which there is no sound.

1988 February 16. VHS tape. Produced by WPIX Inc (NY). Tape is accompanied by letter dated March 24, 1988 from Warren Dean of WPIX Inc., addressed to MR. Hal Wicke, Director of Public Affairs at Packer. "Best Talk in Town" segment on Schomburg Center (and its role in preserving African American culture) is followed by an expose on student life at Packer. Narrator Warren Dean asks Packer students and teachers to identify Packer's special characteristics (in terms of teaching styles and learning environment). Video/audio quality is moderate. This is a 5th generation copy.

February 26, 1988. VHS tape. Warren Dean narrates a segment entitled "Do private schools give college-bound students an advantage?" Packer, along with the UN International School, is cited as an example of independent schools. Richard Eyster, Packer Admissions Director is interviewed. Segment consists of clips also found in "2/16/88 Schomburg Ctr. & Packer Students," Folder 3. Good audio/video quality.

June 15, 1988. Location. Packer Collegiate Institute. VHS tape. 1988 graduation ceremony comprising of preparations, speeches, choral performance, and diploma hand-out. There seems not to be a Commencement Speaker. Moderate audio/video quality, with a recording gap during the Class Speaker's speech.

Fundraiser, 1989 January 31. Possible location. Carnegie Hall. VHS tape. A collection of various performances by children and professional performers. Poor audio and video quality, roughly edited.

June 14, 1990. RT. 25.23. VHS tape. Produced by Like Magic Entertainment Inc (NY). Puppet show geared at providing news/nature stories to young children. "Showtime Presents" mini feature highlights 4th Grade class at Packer having collected $15,000.00 in pennies for donation towards a rain forest preservation not-for-profit. Good audio/video quality.

December 17, 1992. Location. Packer Collegiate Institute. VHS tape. Class presentations on Hopi pueblo life. Topics include history, holidays, kachinas, clothing, communication, and politics.

VHS tape. In and around the time of the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, Packer students head to Washington and Congress with an environmental message. Tape consists of news segments from various networks highlighting this visit. Great audio/video quality.

VHS tape. This tape consists of a variety of clips. The opening segment entitled "Interviews with Brooklyn Heights Business January & February 1999" features student interviews with local business owners (includes baker, policeman, dentist, firefighter, etc.). Next, there is a brief feature on the Packer Maintenance Department. Then, there are excerpts from a May Day Dance from May 14, 1999. Lastly, there is unedited footage of Packer's elementary-level classrooms. Moderate video quality.
