Abstract

The John J. Campbell papers contain letters pertaining to the application and appointment of Campbell as a Port Warden in Brooklyn. John Joseph Campbell was born in Flatbush on October 30, 1846 and died on March 4, 1898 at 98 Amity Street in Brooklyn.

John Joseph Campbell was born in Flatbush on October 30, 1846 and died on March 4, 1898 at 98 Amity Street in Brooklyn. In addition to his appointment as Port Warden, Campbell also worked as a fireman.
