Henry A. Reynolds was Chief of Company Division in the Hall of Records in Brooklyn.

The documents in this collection pertain to street names in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn and in Manhattan with notes of street name changes or alternate names of streets. In addition, the Manhattan document gives a detailed account of "The Great Fire of September 1, 1776" and the destruction caused to lower Manhattan as a result of the fire.
