Abstract

One 1869 quit claim deed between Elizabeth Brainerd and her daughter, Lucy E. (Brainerd) Barron, regarding the estate of Elizabeth Brainerd's father, Adrian Martense.

Biographical note

Elizabeth Martense Brainerd (1794-1876) was the daughter of Flatbush farmer Adrian Martense (1768-1810), who willed his land in the town of New Utrecht to her. Elizabeth Brainerd then gave it to her daughter, Lucy E. Brainerd Barron (b. 1834) shortly after her marriage to Henry W. Barron.
