Historical note
Nathaniel Huntting (1675-1753) was born in Dedham, MA and educated at Harvard College. Huntting was a pastor of the Presbyterian Church in East Hampton, Long Island, N.Y. from 1701 to 1751. Jonathan Huntting (1778-1850), a great-grandson of Nathaniel Huntting, was born in Southold, Long Island, N.Y. and attended Yale College. He received theology training on Long Island and served as pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Southold from 1807 to 1828.
