Series VIII: Membership, 1975-2018, inclusive
Extent
Scope and Contents
In order to become a member of the Student Senator's Councils, students from NYU's various campuses were expected to apply for a position within the SSC, submitting applications, resumes, personal statements, and in some cases, references. Although the SSC received numerous applications, only twenty-three senators are elected by the student body and twelve alternate student senators are appointed by the senators. Series VIII contains materials relating to the members of the Student Senators Council such as completed applications, election materials, advertisements, lists of Student Senators-at-Large and their alternates, committee preference sheets, and guidelines for selecting members.
