Abstract

The New York University Tandon School of Engineering was founded in 1854 as Brooklyn Collegiate and Polytechnic Institute. The History of Engineering at New York University Manuscripts consist of binders of typescripts documenting the history of engineering programs at the school starting in the 1830s. The history was documented with the assistance of Thorndike Saville, former Dean of New York University's Engineering College. This collection documents the activities of this program during World War I and World War II, including war-time programs for cadets and soldiers, through original articles, photographs, and pamphlets.
