One of AFTRA's major functions as a union is to negotiate contracts, including aspects like wages and working conditions, for its members. As these are the records of the union's National office, the bulk of material in this series deals with contracts affecting the majority of the union in multiple local branches. The series also includes numerous "waivers," exceptions to existing contract rules for entities interested in hiring AFTRA members.
