Herman W. Benson is a union member and labor journalist. This collection contains a typescript of an unpublished paper by Herman W. Benson regarding the reform movement in the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Paperhangers in the 1960s.
Historical/Biographical Note
Herman W. Benson was a member of the United Auto Workers and the United Rubber Workers. As a labor journalist, he served as the trade union editor of Labor Action and as editor and publisher of Union Democracy in Action. Benson is the author of Democratic Rights For Union Members: A Guide To Internal Union Democracy .
