This series consists of materials created or collected by various CWA departments or divisions. Materials include the papers of Joseph Beirne's administrative assistant John T. Morgan, which include research files relating to AT&T economic and labor relations practices; documents concerning union organizing on the plant, local, and district level; and regional or district records concerning training, apprenticeship, public affairs, political organizing, and legal affairs. Topics documented in this series include Congressional lobbying, and relationships with the Democratic Party including the 1972 George McGovern Presidential campaign, as well as the union position on civil rights, equal opportunity and affirmative action and litigation in these areas. Divisional records document the work of the Long Line Division (including grievances, arbitrations, and NLRB proceedings).
