Scope and Content Note
This series contains the papers of Helen Oken North's sister Lydia Oken Mates and her husband Dave Mates. This series is comprised primarily of correspondence written to Lydia by her sisters and parents. Some correspondence is also addressed to Dave Mates. Also included in this series are union membership cards; materials related to Lydia's education including diplomas, a graduation program, and an autograph book; and other assorted ephemera.
