The American Workers Party (1970s-1980s) was a Marxist-Leninst group based in New York City.

Scope and Content Note

This collection of American Workers Party materials consists of four folders: Essays for Basic Study Group; Issue Mailings; Leaflets; Position Papers; and was accompanied by an item-level list of the contents of these folders. The contents include some items by other U.S. Marxist-Leninist organizations. In addition to contemporary issues, a significant portion of the material is concerned with the history and internal politics of the AWP.
