Scope and Contents
This series contains material related to James E. Jackson's personal life including memorabilia; letters; interview transcripts; early high school and college ephemera; genealogical and family history materials; his 1974 60th birthday celebration material; and documentation relating to Jackson's army service during World War II. Photographs in this series include portraits of James, travel, friends, as well as James and Esther participating in various events including the 23rd CPUSA Congress in Moscow in 1966; James meeting with President of North Vietnam Ho Chi Minh in the late 1960s; and James and Angela Davis at the CPUSA 22nd National Convention in 1979.
