Scope and Contents
This series contains letters between Esther and James after he entered the army in 1943 and served in the China Burma India Theatre for eighteen months. During this time James and Esther corresponded daily between 1944 and 1945 (and some earlier letters from 1943). A small amount of letters with James' father, James E. Jackson Sr., and letters from Louis and Dorothy Burnham are also in this seris.
