This series consists of correspondence, financial records, newspaper editorials, and photographs concerning the life and interests of John J. Cudahy. Topics include Gaelic games matches, Cudahy's service in the United States Army during World War II, and his involvement in Irish and Irish American organizations. Material in this series dates from 1925 to 1994.
Biographical Note
John J. Cudahy (1920-1994) was an Irish-American interested in Irish culture and social organizations. He married Dorothy Hayden Cudahy in 1947, and had one son, Sean. John was a president of the Clare Association of New York, member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Kilkenny Association, and was a delegate to the United Irish Counties. He served as a delegate to the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee from the Clare Association.
