Fusion was a student newspaper owned and published by Polytechnic University. Fusion's office was on the Farmingdale campus and the paper was distributed to both Long Island and Brooklyn campuses. All Poly students were invited to submit articles for publication through the Farmingdale Student Life office or to become a member of the Fusion staff.
Fusion was re-inaugurated in 2004 as a magazine staffed by students of Polytechnic University and funded by the Department of Technical Communications. The new iteration of the magazine focused on engineering and technology articles as well as social issues important to engineering students and professionals.
