These proofs were used to check color quality. Brands from most of the major cigar companies of the time period are represented in the collection. The collection provides a wealth of material for studying the various American advertising themes and iconographic motifs used in the promotion and marketing of a single product. The books are arranged by the letter and number codes printed on them by Consolidated.
