Watcher's Tally Card for New York Election held November 6, 1906. On back, there is a grid with Parties going across the top and the elected positions down the side. There are tally marks filling in the grid. Acquisition date (?) on front: Dec. 2, 1932.

Scope and Contents

On the back, there are excerpts from a letter from Dr. Sydney Carney, Jr. dated July 3, 1907. The letter explains that Dr. Thomas Darlington (the donor of the poster) told Dr. Carney that these signs were fastened over the street sweeping carts in New York City after the Board of Health took charge of removing garbage from the streets when the street cleaning drivers went on strike.
