Includes annual report of the Committee on Fine Arts (1861-1862); circular for the John Jay Audubon subscription fund (April 1863); circular for the Bryan and Jarves pictures (March 1964); the Rules of the Executive Committee (1864); select tickets have names written on them, others have acquisition notes on back.

Ticket for Strawberry Festival (June 7, 1864) accompanied by 1976 letter from donor Edward Naumburg indicating this is the first recorded evidence of the N-YHS event, despite beliefs it began as early as 1855.

Includes letterpress printing of J.L. Beekman poem "A Goddess Distressed," dated December 13 & 14, 1901, relating to the need for building funds.
