Scope and Contents note

This series contains various histories of the 7th Regiment, some of which are general regimental histories (primarily commemorative or promotional), and others histories or reminiscences of specific time periods, events, or designations of the regiment. The account of the Astor Place Riot is told from a man claiming to be both an instigator of the conflict and a member of 7th Regiment sent to suppress the riot.
