Series V: Nicholas Low, letters received (excluding King letters), 1784-1829, 1784-1829

General note

Letters sent to Low by prominent local, state, and national figures including Egbert Benson, Robert Morris, Samuel Smith, General Henry Knox and James Madison. The letters chiefly concern Low's mercantile and financial activities. Of special note is a letter which gives a detailed description of the sinking of the ship Bengal, presumably owned by Low.
