Autobiographical documents of James Duane Livingston III, including a number of grammar and high school report cards, a series of school essays and stories, letters from his first wife, Nancy Lee Clark, and clippings on his career in metallurgy and ceramics research at General Electric.

Arrangement

With the exception of loose photographs moved from the front binder pocket to join duplicates inside folders, the documents in Series IV are sorted in the order imposed by the James Duane Livingston III.

Scope and Contents

Although in an introductory note James Duane Livingston III informs his daughters that "this latest installment runs up to my high school graduation in January 1947," the narrative ends with the death of his mother, Florence Josephine (Boullee) Livingston in July 1983.
