Scope and Contents

Series V holds a mixture of correspondence, administrative memos, and accreditation reports. Dumpson served as Dean and Professor of Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Service, 1967–1974. The school named a chair in his honor—the James R. Dumpson Chair in Child Welfare Services—in 1980. In 1994 the Fordham University Library Archives made available a 13-box collection of Dumpson's papers; see the finding aid in box 6, folder 14.
