Scope and Contents Note

This series includes the financial and legal papers of Myron Falk and his family members, including his wife, Milly Falk, his father-in-law, Henry L. Einstein, and his children, Mildred, Eleanor and Myron Falk Jr. from 1898-1946. The series includes financial diaries, appraisals of his properties at 130 East 44th St and in Greenwich, Conn. (often referred to as Port Chester, N.Y.), and documents relating to estates, trusts, wills and testaments, tax documents, and insurance policies. A large portion of this series contains general financial and legal correspondence, bills, club dues, and account statements. Some correspondence relates to Falk's investment in the Mercury Theatre and a dispute with Orson Welles concerning use of the Mercury name outside of the Theatre's interests.
