Corbett, Colonel John Cocke who wrote a book "Black Bagdad," about which Harbord writes, "when it gets talked about and as the Pacifists and the Anti-Imperialists and the W.C.T.U and all the rest of those good people begin to be aware of it and attack it, you will find that its popularity will endure." Letter in which Harbord describes his first independent command in Oklahoma in 1891: "it was only a year before this trip to Anadarko that the ghost dancing of the Northern tribes had created some uneasiness among the Indians of the territory..."
