Series IV. Business Projects, 1965-2012, inclusive
Extent
Scope and Contents
This series contains material related to Doroshow's many business ventures over the years to support himself while also pursuing his entertainment projects and drag performances. This series includes files from his antique consignment business from the 1960s to the early 2000s. These files typically contain lists of items and prices, receipts, slide images of artworks, and correspondence. Other less successful businesses include plans and correspondence for a club in the Chrysler Building in 1987, and correspondence and advertisements for the sale of children's puppet quilts in 1983. Doroshow also attempted to start two magazines, Reflections and Casina. Files on these two publishing ventures include proposal packets, correspondence, and mock-up issues.
