Abstract
The East 13th Street Band was founded in 1980 by David C. Levy and Larry Rivers. The band's name was derived from Larry Rivers' street address in New York, where the band often practiced. Other band members included Myron Blackman, Howard Brofsky, Jeff Brown, Howard Kanovitz, Leslie Silver, and Charlie Toor. The band actively recorded and performed throughout the United States during the 1980's and early 1990's. This collection contains audio recordings, along with their session track sheets for recording sessions from 1981. 1984-1985.

Processing Information
Reels were kept in their original storage boxes and placed in acid-free boxes previous to being accessioned. The processing archivist rearranged the reels in chronological order and created a box-level inventory.
