Scope and Contents
The Photo League, founded in 1936, was a cooperative of New York based photographers focused on socially conscious photography. Notable members included Walter Rosenblum, Paul Strand, and Lewis Hine. Series III contains copies of the organzation's official publication (Photo Notes), papers related to social justice and the Photo League's mission, materials related to Walter's time as members of the League, exhibition materials related to the Photo League, as well as Naomi and Walter's research notes about the organization.
