Scope and Contents
Mary Beth Edeslson joined the feminist artist cooperative A.I.R. Gallery (Artists in Residence) in the late 1970s and held exhibitions there including The Memorial to the 9,000,000 Women Burned as Witches in the Christian Era. This series documents Edelson's relationship and participation with the A.I.R. Gallery and contains artwork, slides, correspondence, photographs, press releases, as well as essays written either about A.I.R. Gallery or by members of the organization. This series also contains digital photographs and documents related to the creation of an A.I.R. Gallery book.
