Scope and Contents

The Visual AIDS websites contain a database of works by artists with HIV/AIDS. The database features biographies of the artists as well as images of their art as well what exhibitions the art was featured in at Visual AIDS. The website also highlights the arts organization's projects, such as the Day Without Art, Love Positive Women, Women's Empowerment Art Therapy Workshops, the Red Ribbon Project, Last Address Tribute Walk, The Body As An Archive oral history project, Postcards from the Edge fundraiser, and the Visual AIDS Vanguard Awards (VAVA). The videos on the Day Without Art websites highlight work by HIV+ artists and artwork addressing issues around the AIDS pandemic. The video commissions website provides a complete archive of videos commissioned by Visual AIDS.
