Abstract
Magie Dominic, an artist, poet, and founding member of the Off Off-Broadway theater movement, was born in Newfoundland in 1944, and resides primarily in New York. She founded and programmed the Children's History Theatre (1979-84), and was an active participant at Caffe Cino. The collection comprises materials created and compiled by Magie Dominic in the course of her involvement with the Off-Off Broadway theatre movement, especially Caffe Cino, as well as her own work as an artist and her work with the Children's History Theater. It includes clippings, photographic material, manuscripts, correspondence, and art and performance documentation.

Arrangement
Series, folder and binder titles reflect Magie Dominic's original titles and arrangement. Small changes were made to facilitate access. Dominic's original order has been maintained; oversize and media items were removed from and placed in appropriate archival housing in separate series.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Magie Dominic Off-Off Broadway Collection was donated to Fales Library by Magie Dominic in October 2010 and January 2011. Accretion were donated by Magie Dominic and James Gossage in September 2018 and August 2022. The accession number associated with these gift are 2018.124 and 2023.012.

About this Guide
Processing Information
Processing decisions made prior to 2018 are not documented. Materials in the 2018 accretion were integrated into Series I. in accordance with the collection's existing arrangement structure, and placed in new acid-free folders and box. All photographs and printouts were removed from their individual plastic sleeves. Negatives were placed in enclosures. On April 2019 materials from Box 5 were redistributed mostly into a smaller, letter-sized manuscript box, labeled Box 5. Oversize materials were moved to Shared Fales 019. In February 2023 an accretion was intellectually integrated into Series I in Shared Fales 041.
