Series 3: Administrative files, 1883-2006, inclusive

Scope and Contents

The series represents a small collection of files which were produced by the Board of Trustees and various administrative departments throughout the history of the bank, dating from 1883 to 2006.

It contains property titles (1886-1892), public relations and advertising files (1937-2005), building and renovation files (1930-1977), copies of 1850 and 1859 articles of incorporaton, one file on the 2006 acquisition of the Independence Community Bank Corporation by Sovereign Bancorp, Inc., and other documents.
